I’m an unpaid intern at Harvard and have already started hearing about this mess. In the fall I attended an event on the 21st-Century Library at Harvard, where the first rumblings of this plan came to light. This process seems to be a mess and I am really upset that even an institution as wealthy as Harvard is cutting back positions. Maybe Harvard should have thought about restructuring back when the economy was going better, since it has 73 (YES SEVENTY-THREE) libraries and has needed to reorganize efficiently for a long time.
